Prediction:
The first few trips to Mars by humans will prove that Humankind and Earth's life are not the only life in the universe.
Objective measurement:
U.S. and other nations fund manned exploration of Mars. Upon arrival, Man will discover fossils of past plant life indigenous to Mars not dissimilar to Earth plant life. Insect fossils will also be found. Finally, evidence, such as the debris we left on the Moon after the Apollo landings, will be found indicating that some other "intelligence" had already visited Mars.
When:
July 20, 2019
Why:
The evidence of intelligent life will eventually be found. Unfortunately, the evidence will probably be hidden from the public. So, no one will ever know if my 2019 prediction becomes reality.
