On July 12, 2016, following Puerto Rico, Cuba's population votes for American statehood. Cuba is accepted first. Large reverse population migration as investment returns to the island. European propagandic opposition noted on airwaves. Private space firm begins building space center. Massive building projects undertaken in Havana. Construction of "land link" from the mainland began. Agrarian endevors center around exotic or asiatic crops. Castro-somehow-becomes remembered as a peacemaker. Large telecommunication centers spread throughout the island- Cuba will have a geostationary comsat of it's own.
