Prediction:
Climatologists will begin predicting an ice age.
Objective measurement:
Articles in scientific journals will begin to predict that there will be a major drop in world temperatures (more than 2 degrees average below the "standard" 1900 measurement). By 2015, the number of these articles will be greater than the number predicting a temperature rise and/or disputing the temperature decline.
When:

Why:
Global warming or not, we're overdue for an ice age. I suspect that said"global warming" is the only thing _keeping_ us from such.

Murphy's Law suggests that, if everyone is preparing for a worldwideheatwave, there will be an ice age...
