Prediction:
1999 there will be a major war between AmeriKKKa, China, Japan, and the EC led by Germany. Few will live, and hopefully there will be no Olympics in Australia in the yr 2000!
Objective measurement:

When:
November 1999- February 2000
Why:
The reason this will happen, is that colonial capitalism is in decade. After 1/2 a century of exploiting and terrorising the third world, America's economy is in decline. Their only field of comparitive advantage is military might, which they use to coerce foriegn governments into favourable trade attitudes. The EC is growing in wealth, and Japan is growing sick of the US military presence on her islands. China is sick of the overbearing and interfering attitude of US foriegn policy. Tensions will inevitably build, and since economics is the most common cause of war , it is inevitable that one should erupt. It will be a world war, because the developed nations will not tolerate American aggression forever. It will be in 1999 because that will be the time of the next big recession (since economics is cyclical, and we are on the upswing now in '96). Also, it just happens to be the year Nostradamus unequivocally named.

I'll be glad if it wipes out all the evil powerful people like the CIA and conservatives everywhere. I hope all authoritarian dickheads die in a hail of radiation. I hope no-one is left, but a few bands of Hippies, and maybe Cuba and East Timor, and the Palestinians, and oppressed peoples everywhere may create a new world whose society is based on social justice, popular participation in civic life, and the rule of law.
