    Prediction:
Stock Market Crash in January of 2000
    Objective measurement:
The crash will occur over a period of several days. Objectively: the Standard and Poor's 500 drops by more than 18 percent in any seven-day period between Jan 1 and Jan 31, 2000.
    When:
January 2000
    Why:
Large companies have been very slow to re-write their old computer code; much of it chops off the 19 in the date and calculates the range of years by subtracting only the final 2 numbers. After 2000, many programs for insurance companies, banks, etc. will give negative results. Chaos ensues.
    Further comments:
Possibly (but not predicted) the DJIA will drop more than 1000 points during the same period.
