Disclosure that Gulf War virus is carried by 85% of all veterans serving in the years 1987 - 1992.

Objective measurement:

Is it disclosed that veterans serving 1987 - 1992 have the G.W. virus?

When:

Oct 1999

Why:

Veterans were immunized with a virus that mutated, veterans thought they were recieving there annual flu shot. Something in the Gulf triggered the virus to multiply and resulted in GWS.

Further comments:

Gov extends VA benefits to those affected.
