GREAT NATURAL DISASTERS USHERED IN ON THE TAIL OF THE HALE-BOPP COMET
Objective measurement:
I believe the Earth will be struck by a large [more than 1000kg on arrival] chunk of space debris (possibly an asteroid) which will cause much damage and many deaths shortly after the passing of Hale-Bopp. After this the Earth will tremble with earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and violent weather.
